Showalter’s Dairy was located in Phoenixville, PA. Although it closed in the 1980’s, the dairy continues in the memories of family and friends of Russell and Gertrude Showalter. On this blog, those will memories will be kept alive with anecdotes, pictures, and collectible information. This blog is maintained by the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the Showalter’s. Enjoy!

I have a big collection of dairy memorabilia. I have two painted signs. One is the sign you lost on eBay!
Would like you got have it for your collection. I paid a lot for it but would be willing to sell it to you for a reasonable price. The second sign was given to me by frank showalter. I stopped in to see him a few times.gave him one of my hats.showalter engineering. I have done a lot of research on the family genealogy. Talked. To Russell’s daughter Grace a number of times.. would like to meet you sometime.

Frank showed me the original deed for when the property was bought from pennypacker ? 1802.?
He had it n a drawer in his desk. It still had the red seals on it. Hope you have found this.important family historical item

My name is Blane Wilson, I used to live at 207 East Pothouse Road which was changed to 135 E Pothouse when it was re-numbered. I used to work in the dairy production area cleaning the pipes and helping with the regular daily work. I only did this for a short time when there was a need but remember all the employees who were there and the rigors of the work that they did each day. I also knew Frank from the farm because I was a trapper and trapped the property along Pickering creek and in the meadow below the farm on route 29. I grew up on Showalter’s products as my family lived on Pothouse from 1950-in to the 90’s.
